Your Polish adventure begins today, as you board your jet for Warsaw, Poland’s dynamic capital.
2ND DAY, SATURDAY

Upon arrival, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Hurry and unpack! Warsaw has so much to offer.
Meet your ORBIS guide at 6:00 PM in the hotel lobby, before enjoying a dinner with folklore entertainment.
3RD DAY, SUNDAY
WARSAW [B,L]
You’ll really know the highlights of Warsaw after your tour today. Historic Old Town, rebuilt with love
and dedication after World War II, the ancient Barbican defense walls, the Ghetto memorial, dedicated to the
thousands, who lost their lives in their heroic resistance to the Nazis, and the 18th century Lazienki Park,
a green oasis in the heart of the city. After lunch enjoy Warsaw on your own.
4TH DAY, MONDAY
WARSAW - CZESTOCHOWA - AUSCHWITZ - ZAKOPANE [B,L]
This morning, we leave for Zakopane. En route, we stop in Czestochowa and Jasna Gora Monastery to visit the Black
Madonna, Poland’s holiest icon. We also stop at Auschwitz, one of the largest of the Nazi concentration camps. In
the afternoon, we will continue our drive to Zakopane.
5TH DAY, TUESDAY
ZAKOPANE - KRAKOW [B,D]
After a brief tour of local highlights, take a cable car to a nearby mountain top for a thrilling panoramic view.
In the afternoon we go rafting on the Dunajec River, as it flows through the meadows and gorges of the Pieniny Mountains.
Dinner and overnight in Krakow.
6TH DAY, WEDNESDAY
KRAKOW - WIELICZKA - KRAKOW [B,D]
Get acquainted today with this medieval jewel, as you explore Market Square, where you hear the silver trumpet of the
bugler from St. Mary’s church tower and go inside to admire the awesome Wit Stwosz altar. You also visit Wawel Hill, and
the Gothic Cathedral. In the afternoon, there’s an excursion to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, an unforgettable experience.
Tonight enjoy a dinner with folklore at a local restaurant.

7TH DAY, THURSDAY
KRAKOW - WARSAW - TORUN [B,L]
Our route today leads to Torun, famous as the birthplace of the world-renowned Copernicus.
8TH DAY, FRIDAY
TORUN - GDYNIA [B,L]
After breakfast, we will have a tour of Torun, the birthplace of Copernicus. Lunch. Our drive ends in Gdynia on the Baltic,
one of Poland’s great seaports.
9TH DAY, SATURDAY
GDYNIA - GDANSK - SOPOT [B,L]
Gdynia makes up one-third of the tri-city complex, which also includes Sopot, an elegant, Old World seaside resort, and Gdansk,
the magnificent, restored medieval city, birthplace of Solidarity and home of Lech Walesa. After a tour highlighting the major
attractions of all three, we climax the day with an organ concert in nearby Oliwa. In the afternoon you have time to shop for
treasures of the Baltic Sea area, including silver and amber souvenirs.
10TH DAY, SUNDAY
GDYNIA - MALBORK - OLSZTYN [B,L]
Today, we leave for the great Mazurian Lakes district, one of Poland’s favorite vacation areas. On the way, we stop at Malbork,
a huge Gothic castle, where the Teutonic Knights once ruled. In the afternoon, we enjoy an open-air picnic before we drive to Olsztyn.
11TH DAY, MONDAY
OLSZTYN - WARSAW [B,D]
Before we return to Warsaw today, there is a stop in Olsztynek to tour the Skansen, an open-air recreation of folk architecture.
Dinner at a local restaurant.
12TH DAY, TUESDAY
WARSAW - USA [B]
Now that you’ve seen Poland’s highlights, it’s time to return home. We transfer you to the airport where you board your jet for
the trip home. |
