DAY 1, SATURDAY
KIEV (Dinner)
Upon arrival in Kiev, you’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. You will have time to relax before meeting your fellow travelers and your Tour Director at the welcome dinner in a typical Ukrainian restaurant.
DAY 2, SUNDAY
KIEV (Breakfast)
Morning city tour of Ukraine’s capital features some of the most impressive sights of this ancient city, such as the stunning ‘onion-domed’ St. Sophia Cathedral, home to a breathtaking collection of mosaics and frescoes: St. Vladimir Cathedral with wonderful frescoes and bustling main boulevard Kreschatyk. See the Golden Gate, the only remaining section of ancient Kiev’s original fortification and other interesting landmarks. The rest of a day is at leisure.
DAY 3, MONDAY
KIEV – VINITSA – KAMENETS-PODOLSKY (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner)
After breakfast we drive to Vinitsa, passing by cities Zhitomyr and Berdichev. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Vinitsa, followed by visit of Werewolf, the site of former Hitler’s bunker during World War II. We end the day in Kamenets-Podolsky.
DAY 4, TUESDAY
KAMENETS-PODOLSKY – TERNOPOL – LVIV (Breakfast, Dinner)
On our morning sightseeing tour of Kamenets-Podolsky, we will visit the Fortress. Later on we travel via Ternopol to Lviv, the museum town, where no two buildings are alike.
DAY 5, WEDNESDAY
LVIV (Breakfast)
Lviv was established at the crossroads of ancients trade routes from the frontiers of ancient cultures. Its unique architectural monuments, the cozy and somewhat mystic medieval atmosphere and the traditions and charm have been remarkably preserved through the ages. On your morning tour you will see the Opera house, the Dominican Church and the fascinating Lykachivsky Cemetery. The rest of the day is free.
DAY 6, THURSDAY
LVIV – KRAKOW (Breakfast, Dinner)
We bid farewell to Ukraine and cross into Poland. On route we stop in Lancut to visit the Lancut Castle housing valuable art and unique collection of noble carriages.
DAY 7, FRIDAY
KRAKOW (Breakfast)
Wawel Castle, St. Mary’s Church, the Renaissance Cloth Hall and other historic landmarks are included in our morning city sightseeing tour. The afternoon is free for independent activities.
DAY 8, SATURDAY
KRAKOW – ZAKOPANE (Breakfast, Dinner)
This morning we drive to Zakopane. Experience the pure air and stunning views of Zakopane, high up in the Tatra Mountain. This resort town renowned for winter sports is mostly inhabited by authentic Highlanders, keepers of the town’s charming wooden architecture and living folklore. After sightseeing, the rest of the day is free. Tonight enjoy dinner with folklore entertainment.
DAY 9, SUNDAY
ZAKOPANE – BUDAPEST (Breakfast, Dinner)
After breakfast, admire the breathtaking views of the Tatras from the top of Gubalowka Mountain and shop for souvenirs of arts and crafts of the Highlanders in the local shops. Later on we travel Budapest. The road to Budapest winds through the lovely hills and countryside of Slovakia, past the Tatra Mountains and along the Danube River.
DAY 10, MONDAY
BUDAPEST (Breakfast)
Situated on opposite banks of the Danube, the former cities of Buda and Pest are linked by a series of graceful bridges. Our morning sightseeing tour includes all the main attractions: the Parliament building, Vaci Utca, a pedestrian street lined with shops and restaurants, Heroes’ Square, 118 foot high Corinthian column and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The balance of a day is at leisure.
DAY 11, TUESDAY
BUDAPEST (Breakfast, Dinner)
This morning sightseeing tour focuses on the Castle Hill area, the 13th century Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion and Royal Palace. Your afternoon is free for shopping or independent exploration. Dinner with entertainment in a typical csarda restaurant is on tap this evening.
DAY 12, WEDNESDAY
BUDAPEST - USA (Breakfast)
After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
